Are you passionate about numbers and ensuring that employees receive accurate and timely compensation for their hard work? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Payroll professional to join a well-known not-for-profit on a permenant part time basis.
Our client is located in the inner suburbs
This role will suit someone looking for 0.5 FTE hours and is comfortable working a 5 days fortnight
The role:
Responsibilities:
- Payroll administration in accordance with applicable awards, MEA, organizational policy, and laws; management and processing of end-to-end fortnightly payroll (around 80 employees), making sure pays are verified, authorized, and filed on time; and management and processing of salary packaging
- Onboarding and termination benefits for employees
- Where appropriate, preparing superannuation for groups of employees and subcontractors
- Where necessary, quarterly and month-end reporting
- Proactive employee communications on a regular basis regarding forthcoming payroll-related events, including public holidays, the end of FBT, EOFY reporting, and other events
- Administrative assistance to the finance, human resources, and larger organization teams
- The capacity to manage several inquiries and prioritize incoming duties
Profile:
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role, as well as excellent communication skills. The following attributes are also highly advantageous:
- At least three years of payroll expertise
- Proficiency with Definitiv Payroll Software is desirable but not required
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Capacity to engage, collaborate, and communicate with a range of stakeholders, including corporate and frontline teams
- A keen eye for detail
- Effective project management, including the capacity to prioritize work and adhere to deadlines
- Adaptability and a readiness to learn
- A readiness to collaborate with a fast-paced HR staff and work together to enhance the people spaces
- The drive for independent work and self-motivation
- Proficiency in Office, intermediate knowledge of Excel, Teams, and Outlook
