ABOUT YOU
Delta Group are seeking a Project Engineer / Site Engineer
In this role you will be assisting in the design and delivery of complex and significant projects. You will work with a blue chip client base and a growing workbook of high profile projects across Victoria. You are a confident professional and capable with great perception in quality, safety and environmental performance management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Civil engineering.
Development and implementation of civil project plans.
Work to the guidelines of Delta Group’s triple certified QSE management systems.
Interpretation and interrogation of civil drawings.
Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards relevant to Civil Engineering.
Risk assessment and management civil construction methods.
Project Set Up – civil scope, programme, method and budget.
Status and tracking of civil scope, programme, method and budget.
Sequencing and staging development and approvals.
Accurate cost tracking and production tracking according to budget.
Documentation development - specification review and quality assurance.
Client and key stakeholder engagement. Management of project related subcontractors, suppliers and/or consultants
Liaison with Site Civil Supervisor/Foreman
Procurement and purchasing, including contract management for all projects.
Estimate and variation development, including man hours, costs and quantities.
Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems.
To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:
ESSENTIAL
Relevant construction related qualifications including tertiary degrees in engineering.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
Passion for people and their safety.
Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
High level decision making and problem-solving skills
DESIRABLE- Proven capacity to multi-task.
- High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
- Strong communication and inter-personnel skills
- Computer literate with typing speed and accuracy
