What you’ll do
  • Lead the end-to-end international supply chain operation, optimising processes to reduce costs and increase margins for Woolworths Supermarkets, Endeavour Group, Group Not-for-Resale (GNFR) and Woolworths New Zealand.
  • Partner and collaborate with the Group Replenishment, Commercial & Buying, NFR, and Global Sourcing Teams to balance customer-centric and business priorities effectively.
  • Enable the strategic procurement of Freight forwarding & Landside services (Import & Export) for Woolworths group (including NZ & Endeavour).
  • Mentor and coach a high-performing operations team to provide a sustainable competitive advantage in terms of safety, cost and service offering to Primary connect customers to enable growth.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to Primary Connect Operational Growth Strategy for International Supply Chain Services.
What you’ll bring
  • Significant experience in Indent buying / International Supply chain for a large customer-centric Retail / FMCG / Supply Chain brand.
  • Proven ability to lead operations teams in delivering a sustainable competitive advantage related to safety, cost management, and service offerings for business units partnering with primary connect international supply chain team.
  • In-depth understanding of international supply chain markets, including shipping and freight forwarding, along with a solid grasp of cost structures and vendor-based replenishment and buying processes.
  • Strong business partnership skills, enabling the ability to influence and gain credibility with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Effective team leadership, with a track record of building and developing highly engaged teams that perform optimally through coaching, development, and constructive feedback.
  • A thought leadership with strong influencing skills to generate support for new opportunities
