Senior Management Accountant

About Our Client

Operating in the mining and resources sector, our ASX-listed client is currently experiencing a significant period of growth. They have a fantastic workplace culture and offer significant opportunity for internal career progression. The successful candidate will be required to attend site for 4 days per month.

• Assist department heads to understand and drive financial performance through best practise commercial analysis with a focus on profitability and return on capital.
• Ensure costs are accurately budgeted, challenged, reported and made transparent for key stakeholders.
• Implements systems and processes to support the commercial analysis, cost control and reduce administrative tasks.
• Support month-end activities including accruals, re-allocation, valuation, entries, review & reporting.
• Ensure costs are allocated to the correct accounts and aligned with budget.
• Analyse and reconcile store and production physicals.
• Assist with the asset capitalisation, verification and disposal.
• Assist with annual budget and periodic forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with the required taxation, regulatory and accounting standards are met.

• CA/CPA qualified (or still in completion)
• Experience in business partnering
• Significant management accounting or commercial experience
• A natural problem solver with strong analytical/problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
• Strong skills in excel

• $180,000 including superannuation + 15% STI Bonus
