Operational Management

• Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, software database applications, server and workstations in line with Global and Regional Strategies.
• Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions which include network operations, system software, communication and operating systems.
• Assessing and recommending hardware and software standards for network and system operations in conjunction with owners and stakeholders in line with Global and Regional guidelines.
• Test network and server performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network and server infrastructure.
• Take responsibility for supporting and troubleshooting network and system problems and Priority 1 incidents
• Manage operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the

• Manage service availability by monitoring, analysing and reporting on service availability

• Ensure resiliency of all technical infrastructure and services by ensuring successful testing at least annually or whenever significant changes are made to environment.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and strategies for critical systems and services.

• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Examine and evaluate current systems and identify system requirements to liaise with users to track additional requirements and features.
• Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
• Collaborate with IT team and stakeholders to produce new systems and validate changes by testing systems.
• Develop and execute the lifecycle strategies for IT infrastructure for continuous improvement.
• Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to develop project plans in such a way to execute and deploy smoothly.
• Constantly focused on the project cost, resource and timelines, always work upon the 3 major factors of the project to make it profitable and sustainable.
• Develop and implement a strategy for reducing the complexity of information systems within region in a cost-effective manner, for example by decreasing the number of services or moving away from legacy systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies. Prepares business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
