Panel Beaters - Sydney

Kosmo Smash Repairs, a Miller & Griggs company, is currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Panel beaters to join their workshop in these locations Tamworth, Port Macquarie, Wollongong and Taminda NSW.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Strong Commitment to safety – No short cut
• Remove damaged panels and components by unbolting or cutting them away
• Straighten badly damaged vehicles using mechanical and hydraulic equipment to obtain door, boot and bonnet clearances
• Cut and join replacement sections or damaged panels using oxyacetylene and electric welding equipment
• Fit the repaired panel on the framework of the vehicle and refit body hardware such as door locks and door trim
• Assist in the preparation for spray painting vehicles.
• Remove and replace accident-related mechanical items
• Realign chassis and body frames, and use chassis alignment machines and measuring systems
• Remove and replace auto-electric components
• Remove dents by hammering panels with special panel beating tools such as planishing hammers
• Ability to work under pressure
• Time management and attention to detail

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Trade qualified Panel beater

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
