About the role

Do you want your skills to benefit our iconic brands across Australia?We currently have an onsite opportunity for a customer focused Graphic Designer to join our small fast paced team in our Summer Hill Support Office, within walking distance from public transport.
Experience with Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat is essential. As are an eye for detail, strong administrative skills and a commercial approach to design.
What will you do?- Design and create digital media assets (e.g. website banners, shopping centre advertisements, digital advertisements, social media assets and EDMs)
- Provide graphic design assistance for store POS, EDMs and website assets
- Complete design tasks as assigned by the Marketing Team including: Resizing graphics, preparing digital assets (including simple gif animation) based on approved concepts
- Assist with the development of the JPL brands by ensuring the correct use of all brand identity guidelines, achieving overall consistency for each campaign
- Produce accurate, error-free mechanical files using Adobe Creative Suite, In Design, and Acrobat suite
- Review job instructions (written and verbal) and present questions as required for the successful completion of the job
- Review and quality check all work prior to sharing it for feedback/approval
- Maintain good filing systems
- Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested
- Be an active participant in our office life, including the daily replenishment of stock to stores picking
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards are a must
- High accuracy, attention to detail and quality control
- Experience in retail marketing is desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Graphic design qualification
- 2 years' proven experience in a similar position
- Proficient Mac skills, including back-up and maintenance
- Proven skills in using Adobe Creative Suite, In Design and Acrobat.
- A good understanding and ability to use Photoshop and Illustrator is advantageous.
- Understanding of pre-press and print production, digital asset build including the creation of animated gifs, and other digital assets, be able to supply working files according to specifications
- Ability to design and create EDMs (electronic direct mail)
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong time management and ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
