Payroll Officer

About Our Client

• Process end-to-end payroll, including PAYG, superannuation, and payroll tax reporting using Sage Micropay
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions.
• Address employee queries relating to payroll and resolve any payroll issues.
• Maintain and update payroll records and employee data.
• Prepare payroll reports for management as required.
• Stay up-to-date with legislative changes impacting payroll.
• Assist with end of month duties and financial year end tasks.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Handle payroll inquiries, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with regulations
• Maintain payroll records, process new hires, and manage terminations
• Support HR functions, including contract drafting and maintaining employee records
• Assist with general ledger operations, accounts payable, and receivable

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office Suite ( Sage Micropay is advantageous)
• Understanding of payroll legislation and awards.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• An estimated hourly wage ranging from AUD 40 to AUD 45 + superannuation
• A temporary role within a supportive and inclusive work environment.
