Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for:
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities in freight forwarding (Air, Ocean), transportation, and warehousing.
- Coordinating business generation activities and developing customised sales strategies.
- Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, forecasting, and business development plans.
- Delivering presentations to customers in Australia and conducting regular business trips.
- Retaining customers while driving cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Building and maintaining sales pipelines, with progress recorded in reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Establishing a national supply chain strategy to position the team as a top-tier logistics company in Southeast Asia and Australia.
- Monitoring freight rate trends and collaborating with procurement to secure competitive prices and stable space.
- Achieving sales targets and presenting performance in regular meetings (weekly, monthly, semi-annually).
- Managing and monitoring sales team inventory levels in Southeast Asia and Australia.
- Developing and executing region-specific Go-To-Market strategies aligned with business objectives.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Sales Manager should have:
- 5 years of experience in logistics
- 5 years of experience in New Business Development/Sales experience
- Leading/Directing/Managing experience in a Global forwarding company
- Experienced in large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts
- Experienced in logistics IT systems (FIS/WMS/TMS)
- Previous job promotion experience
- Knowledge about overall logistics business (Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, Warehouse)
- Strong Local transport / Air-industry / Ocean-industry network
