Motor Mechanic

The annual salary for this job is $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation.

• Identifying and diagnosing issues in engines and their components.
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts for inspection.
• Repairing or replacing worn or faulty parts and reassembling mechanical components while consulting service manuals as necessary.
• Conducting scheduled maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with emissions standards.
• Reassembling engines and components after repairs are completed.
• Testing and adjusting repaired mechanical parts to ensure they function correctly.
• Using computer systems to diagnose and test vehicle components.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and issuing roadworthiness certificates or detailing the work required to ensure compliance.
• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in the workshop to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and customers.
• Staying updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
• Engaging with customers to understand their vehicle issues and providing clear explanations of required repairs and maintenance services.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an AQF Certificate III and IV in Automotive.
• Should have a minimum of one (1) year of Australian experience.
• Australian Permanent Residents are preferred.
