Full Time Telecommunications Trades WorkerSALARY: $80,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation
SUMMARY
AZACC Constructions is an established, well-respected name in the telecommunications industry. Based in a prime location of Sydney, Work ranges from local to across NSW region. AZACC Constructions offers clients a turnkey site solution, providing work from site surveying to assist with design, proving existing network and cable paths, building new underground networks, hauling large and small cables, splicing optic fibre, and testing and integrating fibre paths.
Work ranging from commercial NBN installs, other carriers such as Telstra and TPG, Security and Data cabling - new estates, new high-rise fit-outs, retro fit existing high-rise buildings, fibre networks for schools, age care facilities and shopping centres.
AZACC Constructions also has an experienced civil team utilised for Telco pit and pipe, Electrical underground, and also larger civil projects.We are seeking experienced and qualified Cablers in Data and Telecommunications (ANZSCO: 342411) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing data and telecommunications cabling, equipment, and associated infrastructure to meet our clients' needs.
DUTIES- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and data cabling, including optical fiber, copper, and coaxial cables.
- reviewing drawings and plans, specifications and checking sites to determine positioning and connections
- Set up and configure telecommunications and data equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and standards.
- Test cabling installations to ensure correct functionality and compliance with required standards.
- attaching, adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults in telecommunications and data networks.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare reports on existing systems and required upgrades.
- installing cable and testing; locating underground assets; make the work site safe and clean
- trenching, installing pits and pipe with other workers
- picking up materials from the warehouse and the tools shop (bunnings, middy's etc)
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations during all cabling and installation activities.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project completion.
Job Requirements: Must have enable card from NBN
Able to drive and has his driving licenseProven experience in installing and maintaining data and telecommunications systems.
Need the following Licences- Acma licence
- Pit and pipe installation licence
- Asbetos licence B
- Assets locating licence
- Fibre hygiene licence
- Testing fibre licence
- Traffic control licence
- CPR course
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
