Finance Manager- Internal Control
The Company:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager - Internal Control to join a committed team within the automotive industry. In this important role, you will oversee financial compliance, risk management, and the design and maintenance of robust internal control frameworks.You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial operations, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting a culture of accountability and transparency across the business.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Management of annual internal & external audit reviews and procedures to mitigate risk
- Implement project plan for outstanding audit items and tax compliance activities
- Manage relationships with Auditors, Taxation Consultants, ATO & Banks
- Oversee reporting obligations for payment times, ensuring compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of two finance professionals, fostering collaboration across departments to ensure strong financial controls and compliance.
- Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting as required
- Management of Tax Compliance, in addition to JSOX obligations and reporting requirements
- Oversee the preparation and checking of key tax returns like BAS, income tax, and FBT
- Maintain the integrity of the company's accounting standards
- CA or CPA qualified, Big Four experience highly regarded
- 5+ years of experience in a financial accounting and reporting environment
- Proven senior-level finance experience, ideally in a corporate setting
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role, with demonstrated ownership of key finance functions
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and meet deadlines
- Solid, hands-on experience with taxation, including compliance and advisory work
