Full Time Mechanical Engineer

SALARY RANGE $80,000 - $90,000 + superannuation

SUMMARY

Our customers and client base are spread out over Australia, predominately through Queensland and down the South Coast.

• Designing and detailing engineering drawings for boilers, heat exchangers, valves, steam and condensate pipelines using SolidWorks (computer-aided design program).
• Ensuring that all designs comply with contractual requirements and specifications.
• Performing engineering calculations to determine correct storage and pumping of liquids and gases.
• Customising pipelines and steel structure designs + ensuring all designs comply with Australian Standards.
• Organising and managing projects, including: labour required and delivery of materials + equipment.
• Overseeing whole projects from start to finish, including: site visit with customers, taking measurements, engineering drawings, costing and quoting to liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, ordering materials, tracking project progress and arranging delivery of finished product.
• Assisting servicemen with maintenance and general yard work on occasion.
• Unloading deliveries using forklift.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position + field (combustion engineering / boiler industry)
• Current License (manual license preferred, but not essential)
• Forklift License (favourable, but not essential)
• General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card)
• Must have the Right to Work in Australia
• Proficiency in using SolidWorks is essential
• The ability to produce accurate technical drawings to Australian Standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work autonomously + as part of a team
• Time management skills
• Excellent computer skills, Microsoft package (Word, Excel, Project)
• Detail oriented.
