Senior Test Analyst - School Management Systems

About the role:As the Senior Test Analyst you will:

• Undertake test planning and test execution for ICT projects.
• Implement and monitor testing deliverables to ensure they meet expected quality levels in accordance with technical and business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform all general testing tasks including:
• Review and provide input to business and systems requirements documentation.
• Prepare test cases from business and systems requirements documentation.
• Perform system, integration, load and performance test execution.
• Raise defects arising from the test planning and test execution phase.
• Input to all testing estimates.
• Input to the master test plan.
• Prepare weekly status reports.
• Re-test all fixed defects.
• Participate in the change request process. (SFIA Level 2 - ITOP)
• Review and agree testing estimates with management. (SFIA Level 2 - TEST)
• Liaise with a number of teams across the department to gather information and solve problems, issues and risks.
• Keep abreast of new evolving technologies/methodologies.
• In addition, you will have responsibility for:
• Working as a Senior Test Analyst on concurrent projects as directed.
• Escalating all issues and risks through the appropriate channels.
• Negotiating successful outcomes with internal and external customers of the Test Team.
• Working closely with management to establish and implement an in-house testing methodology.
• Performing test management tasks for short periods of time whilst the Test Lead/Manager is absent.
• Actively contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and performance management within the project team.
