Associate Manager, Logistics, Energy Warehousing
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment is being a satisfied daily at the lowest total possible cost and insisting on the highest quality standards.Drive a strong positive work and team culture through effective communication by showcasing the essential building blocks of mutual trust and respect with employees & peers.Associate Managers are expected to own regional responsibilities as needed with the ability to communicate and bridge any outlying opportunities within region.Establish and maintain appropriate mechanisms to maintain inventory accuracy in OC’s.
Associate Managers not only provide regularly scheduled coaching and mentorship to direct reports; however, are expected to mentor M1 Supervisors on (Leadership, KPI’s, Cost/Analysis, etc.)Associate Managers are expected to coordinate, drive, and self-sufficiently execute project management for future state organizational scope goals through the opportunity levers of inventory control; warehouse operations; logistics integration; material planning or process engineering for Tesla’s Energy warehousing & logistics organization.Monitor, own and drive down warehousing operation cost inputs using the skills of cost/profit analysis.Monitor, track, and work cross functionally on multiple KPI’s to improve processes, support inventory control issues, address production bottlenecks and increase productivity.Tesla Leaders proactively communicate safety related incidents; however, Associate Managers own actions taken to prevent future state incidents by sharing and communicating preventative measures in collaboration with EHS to Regional and Sr Leadership.Appropriately proposes and tracks budgets for multiple cost variables including (Labor, PO’s, Facility Maintenance, Logistics, etc.)Ability to foster positive working relationships with internal/external customers and serves as a second POC for critical customer escalations.Ability to identify, develop, and place talented individuals into key areas for overall business growth.
Ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience working in a high-volume operations or warehousing environment.Proven ability of driving change through continuous improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of fulfillment at a warehousing or operations environment.Proven success in managing multiple operations with the responsibility for some or all aspects of warehouse functions.Demonstrates the ability to own multi-site facility budgeting and track spend targets.Strong communication and management skills combined with business analytics, process and system development and change management.Expectations to travel within sub region at least (30% of the time).Willingness and ability to travel within and outside region for large scope project management.Passionately learns and develop new skills to drive self-improvement.
