The Opportunity:

As a Cloud Engineer at AP+, you will play a key role in modernizing and maintaining our infrastructure and ensuring its scalability, reliability, and performance. This includes designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating and managing cloud-based environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.

Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions leveraging cloud technologies.
  • Automate and manage infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of applications.
  • Work closely with software development teams to design and implement efficient and secure build and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement infrastructure and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule, taking responsibility for platform incidents during assigned shifts
  • Addressing identified security vulnerabilities in a proactive and timely manner

The capabilities we’re seeking are:

  • A minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong background in cloud technologies, preferably AWS, including infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Java.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
  • Experience with serverless such as AWS Lambda
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Github actions.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace OR Prometheus.
  • Experience working in an environment that is Agile and test-driven
  • Experience working with distributed systems/microservice architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
