The Learning and Design Specialist will report to the Learning Lead – Digital Transformation and will l work closely with a range of key stakeholders across the organisation and the Project Management Office (PMO) Change team, to support our Digital Transformation initiatives by designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences and programs.From defining the right approach to hands-on design and development, you’ll create contemporary capability uplift solutions that resonate with the modern learner and make a measurable difference. You will play a key role in ensuring our employees, contractors and stakeholders can effectively adopt new technologies and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation for the new systems implementations of our Support Management Platform (SMP) and Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
This role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing digital learning experiences, ensuring a seamless transition and successful adoption of the new HRIS and CRM systems across the organisation. You will bring deep expertise in learning and design to build and deliver high-quality learning solutions focussed on new systems implementations.

Qualifications & Experience- Demonstrated experience in learning design in business, government or the corporate sector, including designing and delivering effective learning solutions to support the implementation of new systems and processes.
- In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, UX design and experience with learning technologies, including LMS and digital platforms to create effective learning solutions.
- Proven experience in Learning and Development in large, complex organisations undergoing digital transformation.
- Experience in supporting and executing the end-to-end learning lifecycle, including learning needs assessment, curriculum design, defining learning pathways, concept development, learning delivery and evaluation of learning both internally and through external vendors for new systems implementations.
- Experience working in organisations where the workforce is not primarily desk-based or digitally connected, with low digital capability, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges this presents for learning.
- Proficiency in e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.).
- Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly learning experiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Strong ability to plan, schedule own work and coordinate with others as required whilst managing multiple priorities.
- Experienced in analysing change impact assessments to ascertain learning needs, gap analyses and recommend learning strategy and approach for new system implementations.
- Sound digital literacy with the ability to use MS 365 suite of products, HRIS and SMP systems.
- Advocacy skills to champion learning initiatives within the organisation.
- Qualifications in Human Resources Development, Learning and Development or Cert IV in Training & Development or equivalent work experience
