Cibaria Manly is a beachside Italian venue that will offer a diverse selection of ‘rias’ as our menu will explore all of the goodness that Italian food and drinks are well-known for.

When you think of Cibaria, think of antipasti, pizzette, pasta, cocktails, vino, and mouth-watering artisanal gelato.

With our premium and convenient location, situated opposite Manly Beach coupled with an amazing menu of Italian comfort foods, and top-notch hospitality service, Cibaria will fast become a local’s favourite haunt. Not a small feat for a 350-capacity venue.

We are looking for several Chef de Partie to join our team and work in our different sections of our restaurant; Forneria, Braceria, Spaghetteria, Pizzeria, production kitchen and Pasticceria.
You will work closely with our Executive chef team that have been with Pavoni for no less than 10 years.

We have casual positions to start with, full time for the right candidates.

Essential Requirements: Full Australian working rights

Fluent in English
Minimum 1 -3 years full time working experience in a similar role
Diploma in Hospitality qualification
Italian cuisine experience
Ability to keep cool under pressure
Positive attitude
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent grooming standards
Passion for providing an exceptional dining experience

Hours can vary and include weekend and public holiday work

Preferred Requirements:
  • Food safety supervisor certificate
  • Expertise with fresh pasta making
  • Pastry experience
  • Woodfire cooking experience
  • Butchery experience
  • Pizzaiolo
  • Proficiency in Italian cuisine
  • Venue opening experience
Responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with our team in menu planning, recipe development, cook-offs, writing tasting notes
  • Ensuring consistent delivery and presentation of dishes in line with venue standards
  • Ongoing staff training
  • Maintaining food health & safety requirements
  • Managing cost control
