Welders / Metal Fabricators

We are currently recruiting for 3 experienced and qualified Welders/Metal Fabricators to join our manufacturing team in Pakenham VIC.

What we do:

• Steel railings
• Stainless Steel constructions
• Glass Balustrades

The successful Candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Ability to read and interpret drawing to a high standard and recognising welding specifications and method and sequence of operations
• Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Aligning parts and joining metal sections using hand tools and measuring instruments utilising various techniques, bolting and riveting
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision
• Finishing products by cleaning, smoothing, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

Skills & Attributes:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a welder or related trade
• Cert III in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent
• Proficiency in MIG, Arc and Flux core welding

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
