The Opportunity:
As the Principal Consultant, Competency & Learning, you will play a strategic role in shaping and leading the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver e-learning and other training materials to meet project timescales and client requirements.You will lead efforts to close skill gaps, enhance workforce capabilities, and support organisational goals by maintaining a focus on client needs and requirements. This position will also see you managing subcontractors, coordinating internal resources, and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to meet these objectives.
The role is based at our Brisbane CBD location, and we also welcome a hybrid flexible working model.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Spearhead the creation of engaging, effective, and interactive blended learning solutions tailored to end users undertaking technical facilitated and digital learning.
- Develop bespoke e-learning content for clients, ensuring it meets their specific needs and drives the development of critical skills, knowledge, and competencies in their staff.
- Lead and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and presentations directly to end users and train the trainer activities so they can effectively train their employees.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders including senior managers and L&D leads to understand business priorities and ensure training programs align with organisational goals.
- Coordinate internal technical SMEs to provide the technical input to ensure high quality technical artifacts.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-focused learning solutions, meeting agreed timescales and budgets.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of training programs, recommending enhancements to achieve optimal results.
- Produce key artifacts such as project plans, schedule updates and reports to support program delivery.

- Must Have: TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.
- Experience in managing resources (internal and external), budgets and timescales to ensure successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Quality Framework (AQF) Standards, Vocational Education and Training (VET) Levels, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.
- A strong understanding of Adult Learning Principles and the Learner Experience with a TAE16 qualification or degree in Adult Learning highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience developing SCORM-compliant courses using e-Learning tools in particular Articulate Storyline 360.
- Experience in Rail, Defence and/or other high hazard industry is highly desirable.
