As the Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution and overall management of production operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient creation of Chefgood products while adhering to strict time, cost and quality standards.

You will lead the production team, manage KPIs, maintain data integrity and work cross-functionally to enhance operational performance at our Chefgood manufacturing facility in Keysborough.

Your role:

  • Production & Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the food manufacturing line, including production, packaging and ensuring quality standards.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and supervise the production team, providing direction, coaching and support as needed.
  • Labour & Cost Management: Analyse labour needs and costs in line with production requirements, ensuring efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and enhance cost savings.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare weekly reports on paperwork compliance, meals produced, packaging efficiency, safety incidents and food safety compliance.
  • Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Monitor production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies for better performance.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, enforcing all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong understanding of production planning, process optimisation and workforce management
Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs and drive data integrity across production processes
Strong knowledge of food safety and regulatory requirements

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
