Scuba Instructor and Trip Director

Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions are currently seeking a Dive Instructor to join our Dive Team on our Great White Shark Experience boat located in Port Lincoln, just under an hour's flight south west of Adelaide, SA.

We currently are the only liveaboard boat on the Neptune Islands and the only company in the world to offer an ocean floor cage experience. Our expeditions allow for the chance for our passengers to dive with the great white sharks and sea lions, as well as walking tours of the North Neptune Island and shark research talks.

1. A current and valid Working Visa or

1. Current teaching status as a PADI Open Water

1. Nitrox Specialty instructor and Shark Specialty Instructor
2. A current Australian Standard 2299 Diving medical
3. A current Senior 1st aid certification. (PADI

1. A current (12 months) certification in Oxygen

1. Valid PADI Diving Insurance
2. A valid manual motor vehicle driver licence, held for a minimum of three consecutive years
3. Background degree of marine biology or similar
4. Background in project management, risk assessments and ship safety is favourable
5. Strong knowledge of scuba diving equipment, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively teach and guide divers of all skill levels

• Good sales skills
• A boating background or sound knowledge of boats and boating skills

• Experience in operations at Dive Holiday

This is a “live-on” remote location role. Applicants should be aware of the fact that conducting fieldwork with large animals in remote regions can be dangerous, however all safety precautions and protocols are always in place.

Our selection process will involve a zoom interview as well a 4 Day training/orientation trip to assess each candidates suitability to our organisation.
