Yard Supervisor – Roebuck Bay Hotel

About the Role

This hands-on role requires attention to detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations while contributing to a positive and productive team culture.

• Perform gardening, landscaping, and general yard upkeep.
• Complete daily/weekly tasks outlined in the Yard schedule for venue operation.
• Apply fertilisers, herbicides, and pesticides under supervision.
• Conduct minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Operate motorised equipment and licensed vehicles.
• Maintain pool cleanliness and chemical balance.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and debris-free.
• Complete reports and checklists accurately.
• Report issues to the Maintenance Manager.

• Oversee and support the Yard Team to ensure efficiency.
• Provide guidance and report staffing concerns to the maintenance Manager.

• Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Report hazards and maintenance issues immediately.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical use and manual handling.
• Promote a safe work culture by leading by example.

• Demonstrate respect and professionalism at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other team members.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient workplace.

• Knowledge & Skills: Gardening, landscaping, general maintenance, repairs, time management, teamwork, and workplace safety.
• Qualifications: C Class driver’s licence, forklift licence, manual handling training.
• Experience: 1+ year in yard maintenance, gardening, and equipment operation.
• Physical Requirements: High fitness level; frequent standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, and kneeling.
