Your Opportunity:

You will join a business that recognises the contribution you make to their success; 2 days WFH per week, flexible start/finish times, an RDO in place to give you an extra paid day off a month, parking provided, and a bonus that is based on your performance rather than relying on others.

They're an Australian business that is focused on continuous improvement where they embrace technology and new ideas, they maintain a high standard ensuring staff and client satisfaction, they're financially stable, and they promote sustainability.

It's a busy organisation and you will be joining a strong culture where everyone pitches in and works together. You'll find yourself managing a variety of duties and it's a position where you'll always have something to do. There's nothing worse than being bored at work and there is no danger of this happening here!

Your Duties:

This highly visible position will draw on your existing experience as a Management Accountant and then add more to your skill set. You will manage a significant number of cost centres with various degrees of complexity, and you will be hands-on with a variety to duties - as detailed below:

  • Ensure the delivery of dependable and insightful management reports, encompassing financial modeling and business case evaluations.
  • Oversee the annual integrated budgeting process and periodic reforecasts, which includes preparing inputs, reviewing budget proposals, and providing supporting analysis and commentary.
  • Offer analytical and problem-solving expertise, with a focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Prepare monthly financial accounts, including the creation of journals for accruals and prepayments, ensuring accurate transaction attribution and conducting necessary reconciliations to reflect the business's performance in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Develop, prepare, and present reliable financial management and budgetary control reports, offering relevant analysis and commentary that enhances business performance.
  • Coordinate, develop, and deliver budgets and forecasts, supported by thorough analysis and commentary, along with sound financial advice.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff regarding budgetary control, reporting interpretation, variance analysis, financial and accounting policies, and information related to budgets.
  • Review and enhance financial processes and systems to ensure they remain relevant and fit for purpose.
  • Encourage the identification of opportunities to create innovative work practices.
  • Continuous monitoring of budget allocation for all relevant operations.

Who You Are:

This is an important position that requires you to have existing experience as opposed to making your first steps into a Management Accountant position.

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a strong understanding of EOM processes, debits, credits, and analysis, as well as how a busy environment operates. You will have strong commercial acumen and be a business partner in your approach.

  • Fully qualified accountant (CPA / CIMA / CA)
  • Excellent Management Accountant experience
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong Excel capability
  • Outstanding communication

Interview Process:

Two stage interview process that will commence ASAP.
