Chef (Wok Cooking)

Holy Basil offers unique and authentic taste of Thai and Laos cuisine. We are looking for experienced, dedicated chefs and cooks to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that standards are set to maintain quality and continuity of food production.
• Assist head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen
• Stock rotation and procurement.
• Utilises interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and kitchen staff.
• Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand customer needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
• Actively involve in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costing of all dishes
• Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards (ie Food safety)
• Roster planning.

Skills & Experience

• Have at least two years’ experience (wok cooking essential) in a similar role.
• Work experience in the preparation of Asian/ Thai cuisine
• Sound knowledge of current food trends
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and procedures
• A high standard of professional grooming
• Excellent presentation and exceptional communication skills
