Party Chief
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore contractor for a high-profile, multi-phase offshore campaign in the APAC region. This project involves advanced subsea survey operations and specialist construction support services onboard a dynamic and technically equipped vessel.
Role Summary:
The Party Chief is responsible for leading the offshore survey team, coordinating all survey-related operations, and ensuring project deliverables meet operational, technical, and HSE standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and proactive communication with onshore teams and vessel management.
The scope includes Sparse LBL positioning, SprintNav integration, ROV-based multibeam echosounder surveys, and a range of complex construction tasks supporting subsea infrastructure development. The work is being carried out by a dedicated offshore team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, leveraging cutting-edge technology and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily offshore survey operations and personnelInterface with vessel, ROV, and construction teams to align survey support with project needs
Oversee data quality control, reporting, and deliverables
Maintain effective communication with onshore project management
Ensure HSE and procedural compliance across all activities
Requirements:
Extensive offshore survey experience, including LBL, USBL, and multibeam operationsStrong working knowledge of Sonardyne, SprintNav, and related positioning systems
Proven leadership skills and experience leading offshore teams
Familiarity with construction support scopes and dynamic offshore environments
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or diploma in Hydrographic Surveying, Geomatics, Marine Science, or a related field (or equivalent offshore experience)
Minimum 5–7 years of offshore survey experience, including team leadership rolesProven experience with: Sparse LBL (Sonardyne systems)
SprintNav integration and calibrationROV-based construction support
Multibeam operations
Strong understanding of geophysical and geotechnical workflows
Offshore survival, medical (OGUK), and valid BOSIET/FOET certification
Excellent leadership, reporting, and communication skills
Salary approx $200K per annum based on a 4/4 rotation
