As a lively local venue with a strong sense of tradition and service, the Club offers a range of dining and entertainment options, including a busy bistro, café, and function spaces, making it a central gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

To support its growing hospitality operations, the Club is seeking experienced and experienced Cooks and Chefs to join the team in full-time roles at its Biloela venue. These positions are ideal for passionate culinary professionals who thrive in a community-driven environment and are committed to delivering high-quality meals with consistency and care.

Scope of the Work:
  • The day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen, including delegating staff, stock rotation and relevant paperwork.
  • Prepare and cook foods of all types, either regularly or for special guests or functions.
  • Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services.
  • Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
  • Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labour, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to execute the menu, considering factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
  • Good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) AND HACCP
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
  • Preparing and ensuring a regulated oven, utensils, and grill for the shift
  • Cooking order according to food health and safety standards
  • Train junior staff to uphold the standard of the venue and maintain operational efficiency.
To be considered for this role, you should:
  • Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
  • Preferably have Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
  • Have at least 2- 3 years of work experience as a Cook/Chef.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
