The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and driven professional to join our Sydney team as we enhance our globally competitive payment services. Our role in the Australian payments ecosystem is crucial, and we strive to meet regulatory obligations to ensure reliability and safety.

As part of our exciting Risk Transformation Program, this position will focus on:

  • Supporting regulatory initiatives to improve risk management practices and processes.
  • Assisting in our response to regulatory changes and ensuring ongoing regulatory engagement once the program concludes.

Your expertise will be vital in executing regulatory initiatives, helping us stay compliant with evolving standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in resolving regulatory inquiries, gaps, and enforcement actions.
  • Gather, review, and submit documentation to regulators, ensuring it meets quality and timeliness standards.
  • Prepare for regulatory examinations, audits, and inspections by coordinating documentation and meetings, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings with regulators and maintain accurate records of proceedings.
  • Manage document registers and change controls for submitted documentation.
  • Oversee the scope, schedule, and resources for regulatory actions and initiatives.
  • Provide status updates to the Risk Transformation Program Manager and Chief Risk Officer, highlighting any risks or issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address regulatory requirements effectively.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of new regulations on our operations and recommend actions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance controls to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

The capabilities we’re seeking are:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a regulatory analyst or response role.
  • Experience handling regulatory requests and implementing new legislation.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape for payments or financial services is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks.
  • High attention to detail and effective task prioritization to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions aligned with objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible mindset to support cross-skilling and team collaboration as needed.
