Account Manager (Truck Bodies)

Due to the natural growth within the business, an opportunity for an experienced Account Manager (New Sales) to help company expand in Sydney, to manage not only existing partnerships but to strive towards establishing new and rewarding relationships.

As the Account Manager (New Sales) you will be responsible for driving sales statewide. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing role that requires a strong ability to build relationships, driving growth, understand customer needs, and close deals.

You will travel extensively identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Provide expert advice on specifications, customisation options based on customer needs.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to close sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
Attend trade shows, client meetings as needed.
Collaborate with Sales and Engineering team to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and delivered on time

Transport industry experience with an understanding of truck bodies and chassis types would be highly advantageous.

Knowledge of the major fleet operators throughout the country
Solid computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.

Exceptional time management and organisational skills.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
An ability to work well under pressure.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in the transport industry. At least 3+years of experience
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and close sales.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, team player and able to work independently.
Comfortable with extensive travel and maintaining a flexible schedule.
Valid driver’s license.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
