Metal Fabricator

Dandy Exhaust PTY LTD are currently recruiting an experienced and qualified Metal Fabricator to join their manufacturing team in Lynbrook VIC.

• Welding, bolting, riveting, and otherwise joining metal parts using manual and machine welding

• Assembling fabricated components into final products.
• Performing measurements and inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance with design and quality

• Operating metal fabrication machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Repairing and modifying existing metal products and structures.
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.
• Following workplace health and safety standards and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
• Excellent communication and organisational skill
• A positive and energetic attitude with a great work ethic
• Physically fit for manual handling duties
• Previous experience working in a warehouse

• Always adhering to Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Preparation of components using tube forming machinery
• Construction of Exhaust Systems using MIG Welding
• Receiving of stock
• Good housekeeping and warehouse management
• Ad-hoc duties as needed

• Must have a formal Qualification/Certificate in the field of Welder/fabricator
• Must have a local experience minimum three years as a Welder/Fabricator
• Previous experience in Tube Forming
• Highly advantageous Knowledge of Exhausts and/or Motor Mechanics
• Forklift and/or Stock Picker licence

• High skill level in Mig Welding
• CNC operational skills
• Knowledge and experience in the use of a grinder
• Knowledge and experience in the use of a cut off saw
• Knowledge and experience in the use of a cold saw
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects
• A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures
• Good time management and organisational skills

• A good team player
• Willing to work overtime at short notice
• Have a meticulous and efficient work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage change

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
