About Us: Edenfield Family Care is looking for a skilled Cook to join our team in Port Augusta. We are dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meals to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met with care and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Plan menus in collaboration with the dietary team to ensure balanced and appealing meals.
- Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation.
- Adapt menus and meals based on seasonal ingredients and residents' feedback.
- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in aged care or healthcare.
- Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
