Position Title: Cabinet MakerAnnual Salary: $73,150.00 plus 11,5 % Superannuation
A & T Cabinet Makers are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Loganholme, QLD 4129
The Cabinet Maker will be responsible for the following duties:
- Reviewing drawings and choosing appropriate materials, such as the correct type of timber, veneer or synthetic board to construct and install high-quality cabinets in accordance with our technical specifications and high standards.
- Work with appropriate materials such as plywood, MDF, or solid wood for cabinet construction based on designs provided, ensuring the materials meet quality and durability requirements.
- Measuring, cutting and joining wood components using machinery and specialist tools, and finish off their pieces with other fittings in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Utilising CNC and design programs to perform calculations, marking, shaping and cutting materials and components.
- Applying high-quality workmanship in making cabinetry pieces according to specifications.
- Assembling cabinet parts including installations of hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, locks and handle and apply appropriate protective coatings to ensure longevity and quality.
- Assembling cabinets from shaped components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment of the cabinets during the entire process.
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding and applying stains or paints.
- Utilizing spray booths or other finishing systems to achieve a high-quality finish on cabinets.
- Inspecting finished products for accuracy, consistency, and quality and occasionally providing on-site cabinetry installations when project required it.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and experience
For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications and/or work experience:
- A Certificate III in Cabinet Making with at least 1 year of full-time experience working in a Cabinet Maker role. This formal qualification can be substituted by at least 3 years of work experience in a Cabinet Maker role
