Butcher - Brisbane

Millers Gourmet Meats are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Butcher to join their team in Monto Qld.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Prepare meat for wholesale and retail sale using a wide variety of processes.
• Removing bones, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size as ordered.
• Prepare crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts.
• Select and prepare meat to produce smallgoods.
• Operate machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat.
• Make seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt and other ingredients.
• Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must have 3 years’ experience as a Butcher.
• Certificate III in Meat Processing or related Qualification
• OH&S awareness.
• Food Handling and RSA certificates required.

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
