As our business continues to thrive, we are now looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and deliver consistently high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for a wide range of duties tailored to the operational needs of a busy roadhouse kitchen, including:- Designing and updating rotating menus that cater to our customer base, while estimating ingredient and staffing requirements.
- Implementing effective portion control strategies to minimise wastage and ensure consistent serving sizes. And introducing cooking techniques and kitchen workflows that support efficiency during peak service hours.
- Leading by example in applying safe food handling practices, cleaning routines, and ensuring hygiene standards are followed rigorously. And supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff, including training on equipment use, safety procedures, and preparation techniques.
- Ensuring food quality is maintained at all stages, from ingredient selection through to plate presentation.
- Monitoring inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and placing timely orders to avoid stock shortages. And participate in staff recruitment, training, and ongoing performance improvement efforts within the kitchen team.
- Managing food storage, labelling, and preservation processes to maintain freshness and compliance with health regulations.
- Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of meals, including hot food, burgers, breakfast dishes, snacks, and quick service items.
- Collaborating with management and front-of-house staff to meet customer demands efficiently and resolve any service issues related to food.
- Maintaining compliance with all health, safety, and food regulatory standards, including temperature checks and kitchen cleanliness.
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience.
- Full-time: 38 hours per week.
- Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
