Technical Sales Representative – East Coast

About the Role
Multotec Australia is part of a global group of companies that designs, manufactures, and services mineral processing and beneficiation equipment for the Australian minerals, aggregate, and mining market. The head office is in Brisbane, and Service and Sales branches are located in mining areas nationwide.Your primary role is to develop and implement a successful sales model within the Western Queensland (Isa/Cloncurry Region) and Northern Territory area for all Multotec products with a focus on new sales for the Region.
This role is Berrinba-based.
The main tasks include:
- Drive sales by identifying new opportunities, negotiating prices, and finalizing contracts.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and proactive follow-ups.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Facilitate teamwork across departments, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Conduct mill liner inspections, oversee installations, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Lead FSM teams by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and enforcing safety.
- Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and site-specific work protocols.
- Manage sales orders, pre-plan materials, and oversee service delivery to meet customer needs.
- Complete administrative tasks, maintain records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
- Suitable Sales skills, Project management, time management
- Process qualified in SABC (SAG & Ball Crushing)
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Metallurgy, Extractive Metallurgy, Minerals / Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing or similar field.
- Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.
- Communication: The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
- Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
- Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
- Time management/organisation: Effectively accomplish objectives within the given time frame and carry out duties within the portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
- Strong Office365, Excel/Teams skills.
- JDEdwards or other ERP (SAP) experience desirable
- Mill, linings and hardware knowledge and experience essential
- Hands on experience in a field sales and similar mining environment.
- Experience selling solutions to customers problems
- Front line supervision skills.
- Ability to evaluate information quickly and identify key issues
- Look for all avenues to sell across the Multotec product range
