Quantity Surveyor - Brisbane

Total Insulation are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Coopers Plains QLD 4108.

The Successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

• Measuring and estimating of construction costs and cost planning
• Preparing quotations/tender proposals for existing and new projects
• Pricing and quoting HVAC projects
• Assessing project risk and cost reporting for financial institutions
• Site and tender meetings
• Completing material take-offs
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Negotiating with suppliers and contractors
• Reporting to Senior Management

Key Competencies:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering, construction management or an equivalent degree//trade background
• At least three years estimating/quantity surveyor experience in the construction field
• Experience within Commercial HVAC industry preferred
• Good knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems preferred
• Extensive knowledge of best industry practice and standards
• Self-motivated and positive attitude
• Advanced computer skills and demonstrated competency with estimation software programs
• Excellent written, communication and management skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
• Able to work autonomously or with a team
• Ability to travel intermittently and perform site visits
• Good verbal and written communications skills
• Strong diagnostics capabilities

Salary range is $80,000-$95,000pa commensurate with experience
