Mushroom Pickers and Packers

Regal Mushrooms is a mushroom growing farm located at 888 Londonderry Road, Londonderry NSW.

We are looking for Harvesters (Mushroom Pickers and Packers). We are looking to fill 10 vacancies. The successful candidates must be:

• able to speak and write Basic English
• good with manual handling techniques
• able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment and maintain several priorities at once effectively
• attentive to detail
• resilient to handle pressure
• dedicated, diligent and flexible
• have a “Can Do” attitude

Hours worked per week can vary but on average are about 35 hours per week.

The conditions of employment are as per the Horticulture Award 2020 and this role is classified as a Level 1 position and pays a rate of $28.26 per hour. We are looking for Mushroom Pickers to start as soon as possible, preferably during the month of February and the work that is available is continuous and unlimited at this point.

Duties:

• Follow correct picking instructions to harvest correct mushrooms as per instruction
• Correctly sort and size mushrooms as per instruction
• Meet speed and quality targets set by company

• Follow all food safety related instructions, policies and procedures
• Correctly store and use knife and blade and per instruction and procedures
• Comply with Freshcare hygiene and food safety basics
• Support in Freshcare and escalate any deviations

• Ensure that risks are minimised as far as reasonably practicable within your area of responsibly
• Ensure your work is completed in accordance with Safe Operating Procedures, Safe Work Method Statements or other risk assessments
• Ensure that prior to any use of machinery you have completed all required training and that the appropriate machine Safe Operating

• Ensure you are fit for work and not affected by alcohol or other drugs
• Ensure you wear the required Personal Protection Equipment
• Have a genuine regard for safety and the well-being of those you work with

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

Training will be provided.
