Our OCTANE CAFE & RESTAURANT requires a Qualified Chef at the above-mentioned address, with proven ability to chef and according to the best practice Australian food standards.
We’re seeking a skilled Chef with a passion for artisanal food preparation to help shape the future of our kitchen.
This role involves preparing high-quality dishes, collaborating with local producers, and helping to curate our selection of brunch options, fresh meals and gourmet grab-and-go options. We pride ourselves in ensuring our customer satisfaction an outstanding hospitality.
You will be required to:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, local ingredients.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Contribute to the development of new menu items and special offerings and order food inventory and estimate food costs accordingly.
Collaborate with team members and local producers to monitor and enhance the quality of dishes from preparation to presentation and resolve any food preparation issues that may arise.
Provide a high standard of food presentation and service and advise.
Adapt to evolving culinary trends and customer preferences.
You must have:
Experience: Proven experience in a busy kitchen environment as a Chef with at least 2 years of experience with a strong grasp of food safety and hygiene practices.
Knowledge of food industry and ingredients, stock handling experience and good interpersonal
skills.
