Metal Machinist

B&D Engineering are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Metal Machinist to join their team in Griffith NSW.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Study and read drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts to produce machines and equipment.
• Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and shaping tools in machines and presses, and setting controls for machines.
• Forming metal stock and casting to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal.
• Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machine, and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment

Skills & Abilities:

• Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical trade
• Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field
• Experience with beams lines and plasma plate cutting.

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
