About the Role:
We are seeking disability support workers to provide assistance:
- Location: Greenvale, Victoria
- Someone dedicated to providing ongoing support, fostering a professional and long-term relationship with both the individual receiving care and her primary caregivers
- Providing 1:1 supports accessing the community and/or assistance in the home
- Friday 8am – 8pm
- 24 hours per fortnight
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Implement support plans based on supported person’s needs, preferences, and interests
- Follow a diabetes management plan, mealtime assistance plan.
- Help with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night
- Aid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work, and appointments
- Use of a wheelchair for all community access activities
- Promote personal choice and control for the person
- Assist with personal care, hygiene and household duties such as cleaning, cooking, and washing
- Administer medication
Qualifications and Experience:
- A passion for enabling and working with people
- Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support
- Willingness to work as part of a team
You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain*:
- NDIS Worker screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
