We are currently searching for talented and motivated individuals to undertakeChef roles within our team cooking in our French restaurant
Successful Candidates will display the following attributes: Experience in stock control; Efficient ordering of stock;
Able to perform all prep work; Calm under pressure; Formal qualifications and experience in comparable commercial kitchen operations; Ability to read dockets and effectively communicate in a fast-paced kitchen;Friendly, hardworking individual with the right attitude; Available weekends and nights; The ability to work as part of a team and multi-task;
While qualifications are desired, experience and the right attitude will be preferred in our successful applicant.

Job Duties:
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specificationsOperate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Oversee and manage kitchen operations
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulationsPreserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled
facilitiesTrain apprentices and other kitchen staff
Recording food temperatureplanning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
may select and train staff
may freeze and preserve foods
