We are looking for Pastry Chefs to join the opening team of Lucas Restaurant's newest Canberra venue - a French bistro opening in May 2025.
About the Venue:This May, restaurateur Chris Lucas will introduce Canberra to a brand-new French concept in the heart of the nation's capital.About Lucas Restaurants:Home to Australia’s most beloved and acclaimed restaurants, including Chin Chin Melbourne and Sydney, GoGo Bar, Kisumé, Hawker Hall, Baby Pizza, Yakimono, Society, Grill Americano, Carlotta, Tombo Den and Maison Batard.Australian in our approach and unbound by dining traditions, creating venues and experiences to be shared with others. About the Opportunity:We are looking for the industry’s finest Pastry Chefs to join our opening team to deliver a best-in-class dining experience.
You will be a passionate and a highly energetic hospitality professional.Must be willing to relocate to Canberra.Chef de Partie and Commis Chef positions available. The Ideal Candidate Must Have: Experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a high-end restaurant Strong culinary skills with an eye for detail and a passion for quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure Team oriented and strong communication skills A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards Eye for detail and strong time management Knowledge food safety standards Genuine interest in the day-to-day operations Qualification in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts Working with Lucas Restaurants:We exist to see our team succeed.
