BRIBIE ISLAND RSL AND CITIZENS MEMORIAL CLUB INC. known as Bribie Island RSL Club (ABN 59 878 649 324) is looking for full time Chefs or Cooks for their busy kitchens.
Bribie Island RSL, located in the heart of Bongaree at 99 Toorbul Street, is a well-regarded community-focused club offering a range of dining and entertainment experiences. Among its culinary offerings is the Botanic Restaurant, a vibrant dining destination known for delivering high-quality Modern Australian cuisine and exceptional service to the community.The Botanic Restaurant provides both à la carte and blackboard meals, offering guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to unwind and enjoy quality, affordable dining. The restaurant operates seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

To be considered you must have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1 year of industry experience.
Skills and Experience:- Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills.
- Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes.
- Demonstrate a keen Interest in growing food trends and techniques
- Ability to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control
- Work with the management team on food preparation and seasonal menu planning
- Stock ordering
- Team building and maintaining morale
- Labour cost control and assist the owners with rostering
- A sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS and able to explain and enforce
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
- Ability to handle large service numbers
- Experience on pans and pasta section is highly desirable
- Above average customer care and service skills
- Training of junior team members on cooking techniques and procedures
- Assist with staff hiring and training
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Discuss customer requirements and request with the frost on house team
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Available nights, weekends and school holidays.
