About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and detail oriented Project Coordinator to assist the Director in the management of all commercial painting projects, large and small, from start to finish.
Your role will involve budgeting (an eye for numbers is key) planning & scheduling (keeping things on track will come naturally to you) problem solving and negotiating (you will be firm but fair and keep calm under pressure)
You will be responsible for coordinating commercial painting projects which range from 1 day jobs to projects that can take over 6 months to complete. You will work closely alongside the Project Manager who is responsible for the overall execution of all projects and be the go-to person for all enquiries from preparing quotes, dealing with client queries, scheduling work and rescheduling due to weather, variations to scope as well as organising relevant permits for each project.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination of commercial painting projects from inception to completion, with technical support from the Project Manager.
- Assist with overseeing budgets, planning, and contract negotiation with exceptional administrative skills.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Assist with WHS systems ensuring compliance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and delivering exceptional service.
Requirements
Requirements- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar project coordination role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); basic knowledge of the painting or construction industry is a plus.
- A current driver’s license is required.
- Experience in project management systems and WHS compliance is desirable.
- Preferred: 2-5 years of experience post-graduation and experience with DISC profiling or related assessments.
