WE ARE SEEKING NOW:
"Maintenance Engineer"
Daily responsibilities:
Inspection and Maintenance: on mobile mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, and graders.
Scheduled Servicing: Following maintenance schedules provided by manufacturers and scheduling routine servicing activities to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.Record-Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, parts replacements, and equipment performance, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other record-keeping tools.
Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies by conducting maintenance tasks according to established procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and participating in safety training programs.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other maintenance engineers, technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities, share knowledge, and address maintenance-related challenges effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements in maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and performance.
Training and Development: Staying updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mobile plant maintenance through continuous learning, training programs, and professional development activities.Cost Analysis, control and estimation : Analyzing maintenance costs associated with mobile plant equipment, including labour, parts, materials, and external services.
Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation of maintenance budgets by providing input on anticipated costs for routine maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and equipment replacements.
- Life Cycle Costing: Conducting life cycle costing analysis to evaluate the total cost of ownership of mobile plant equipment over its operational lifespan.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in maintenance processes, practices, and procurement strategies.
Must Haves:
Bachelor of Engineering degree-or equivalent.10 Years + Trade (with post-trade development) or engineering background with experience in Surface Mobile Maintenance.
Proficiency in CMMS Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP or Pronto) and frontline leadership training.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships, with a passion for team growth and development.Ability to work autonomously and manage conflicting priorities.
Ability to develop strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive attitude to safety, a strong work ethic, and leadership capabilities.
WA Drivers Licence.
