About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, down-to-earth Human Resources Advisor to join our fun and friendly Naracoorte office team. This generalist role will see you contribute to the delivery of a wide range of HR solutions and services to a very large meat processing site.

Working alongside a supportive and dedicated HR Manager in a fast-paced environment, this position will allow you to bring your skills and experience from a manufacturing/food business environment (ideal) to be able to transition quickly and hit the ground running.

If you don't have everything we need, on-the-job training is willingly offered.

Overall responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries
  • Assist with the employee's full life cycle - recruitment, induction, performance, surveys, training, exit process
  • Assist with an efficient return-to-work program
  • Assist with common law damages claims
  • Advise and guide other staff members on Tey's HR policies and procedures
  • Manage employee engagement, social, and promotion of diversity
  • Admin and reporting associated with the position.

About You

It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:

  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices
  • Ability to form relationships at all levels
  • Personal qualities of drive, commitment, and enthusiasm
  • Well-developed organisational skills
  • Knowledge and effective use of HRIS systems
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Office 365)
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Current driver’s license.

Desirable:

  • 3+ Years’ experience in HR (ideally manufacturing, food for export)
  • Relevant Human Resources qualification (partial complement/willingness to obtain).
  • Meat industry experience
Accreditation in:
  • First Aid
  • Workplace Assessing and/or Training
  • Workplace Health and Safety and Rehabilitation (or willingness to obtain).
