Accounts Officer

Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable and generate invoices and statements to clients in accordance with contract requirements.
• Perform debtor control and manage recharges to clients.
• Update and maintain the general ledger accounts as assigned.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts including accrual income and prepayments.
• Generate monthly reconciliation reports for assigned accounts.
• Prepare journal entries including accruals for income and expenses.
• Assist with the import of payroll journal entries.
• Perform data entry in MYOB and Excel.
• Assist with finance filing and document control.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
• Assist Finance Controller as required

• Ensure accounting procedures comply with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Support internal controls and assist in improving financial procedures.

• Assist with the preparation of basic financial and management reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records for audit and compliance purposes.

• Maintain ethical and professional conduct in dealings with staff, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

• Bachelor or above qualification - Commerce or Accounting
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and articulately at all levels.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliations.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office, MYOB).
• High attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently.

• Medical clearance: AOS pre-employment medical as required.
• Medical clearance is to be maintained for the duration of employment.
