Civil Engineering Technician - Newcastle

Resinject Pty Ltd specialises in subsidence and structural repairs on walls, foundations and unlevel buildings through deep ground injection, slab jacking underpinning and void filling.

The company is currently looking for experienced and qualified Civil engineers Technicians to join their team in Carey Bay, NSW 2283.

A Civil engineer Technician in Resinject will undertake duties such as:

• Surveying and preparing job sites,
• Injection of expanding polyurethane,
• Use of precision monitoring equipment,
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks like drilling, job preparation, injection of resin, etc,
• Operate equipment; Resinject units, forklifts, pumps, compressors, spray guns, drills, lasers, compressors and other heavy machinery.
• Perform regular equipment, material, and routine site inspections to assure that assets are maintained in accordance with Resinject procedures.
• Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
• Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
• Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• Inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
• Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or related discipline
• Understanding of technical plans and drawings
• Problem solving approach
• Ability to read, write and orally communicate in fluent English
• Able to understand and carry out instructions within safety requirements
• Able to work within a team and autonomously
• At least 3 years of experience in similar roles

Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 pa commensurate with skills and experience
