Tipsy Tacos Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and energetic Chef to lead kitchen operations in our fast-paced and vibrant restaurant. Specializing in bold, flavour-packed Mexican cuisine, we are committed to delivering fresh, high-quality dishes with speed, consistency, and creativity.
Our menu features a variety of popular Mexican favorites including tacos, burritos, nachos, and house-made salsas, prepared using fresh ingredients and authentic techniques with a modern twist. Operating in a dynamic fast-casual environment, we cater to both dine-in and take away customers, ensuring quick service without compromising on quality or presentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Chef with experience in high-volume kitchens and an interest in Mexican cuisine to play a key role in delivering exceptional food and contributing to a fun and engaging dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of Mexican-style dishes including tacos, burritos, nachos, and house-made sauces, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely preparation and service for both dine-in and takeaway orders.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training junior team members and maintaining a positive, team-oriented work culture.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with standard recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards.
- Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and service to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations in line with industry standards.
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients, while minimising wastage and controlling food costs.
- Assist in menu planning and development, introducing new items and seasonal variations aligned with customer preferences and business goals.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and operated safely at all times.
- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and an excellent customer experience.
- Handle high-pressure service periods efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Relevant qualification such as a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations, preferably within Mexican or fast-casual cuisine.
- Ability to plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and manage kitchen budgets effectively.
- Sound understanding of food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and compliance requirements in a commercial kitchen.
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
