We are looking for an experienced and passionate Groups Tour Consultant to support our Groups department at APTC (All Pacific Travel Concept)

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN INBOUND TRAVEL

German language skills are an advantage.

Flexible work environment! - Working from home and Sydney CBD office (not remote).

Full Time 38hrs/week

Position Summary:
  • Support Group Department with day to day operational tasks such as:
Creating exciting and competitive new Group itineraries for Ad Hoc and Series Groups

Operating existing Group programmes

Key Responsibilities:
  • All aspects of Group related work such as quoting, booking and operating Group programmes including invoicing and final documentation
  • Clear correspondence with clients which ultimately should result in good Sales and conversion of quotes
  • Negotiate rates with suppliers
  • Check hotel availabilities
  • Research new product for specific programmes when required
  • Maintenance of existing Series programmes – increasing and reducing room blocks as well as cancellation if necessary
  • Cross check agents` itineraries with our programmes, translation may be required
Competencies and Experience Required:
  • Great attention to detail
  • Thorough filing
  • Follow up on all quotations
  • Close communication with Supervisor and higher Management to suggest ways to close sales, and keep up to date of progress
  • Good knowledge of Australia as a Travel destination
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate well with clients
  • Good knowledge of available and suitable Group product
  • Good knowledge of Tourplan NX – how to utilise it for PCM’s and bookings as well as how to use Database for research
  • Good organizational and time management abilities/ be in charge of own workload
  • Keep track of Deadlines and updates to Clients
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office competency
